A report calling for expansion of vocational educational opportunities in the state highlights Worcester Technical High School as a success story.
But the “Skills For Our Future” report, released by the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center on Friday, also reveals Worcester kids are not getting enough opportunities to participate in that and other vocational programs. Among the state’s Gateway Cities, Worcester had by far the biggest waitlist – 500 students, followed by Springfield with 318 – to get into a vocational school a year ago, the study found.
