Sarina Tracy is a Vice President at Northwind Strategies, where she leads strategic communications and public relations for a diverse portfolio of nonprofit, corporate and political clients. Known for her strategic insight and discretion, she is a trusted partner to clients navigating both opportunity and crisis.
Sarina manages press, crisis response, government relations and brand storytelling, helping partners communicate effectively and strategically. Her clients can be found across tech, clean energy, grassroots organizing, politics, workforce development, climate investment, real estate development and more. Sarina also leads thought leadership initiatives for executives and organizations that have earned national awards, high-profile speaking engagements and placements in top-tier media outlets.
As a hands-on political strategist, she has managed press and digital communications for high-profile candidates and public officials, having held communications and press roles for the campaigns of Boston Mayor Kim Janey, Congressman Jake Auchincloss, Tom Steyer, Alex Morse and others. She also works closely with Governor Deval Patrick on initiatives such as TogetherFUND, the Future of Tech Commission and other civic and political projects. In addition, she has served as a spokesperson for Won’t PAC Down, a youth-led, Hollywood-fueled PAC mobilizing young voters nationwide.
Before joining Northwind, Sarina served as Communications Director for Senate President Pro Tempore Marc R. Pacheco in the Massachusetts State Senate, where she focused on clean energy, women’s health access and international collaboration. She also led communications for the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change, the first body of its kind in the U.S, supporting key legislative initiatives and strengthening media partnerships across Massachusetts and beyond. She began her career in the publishing industry, which honed her writing, editorial precision and storytelling skills across platforms and audiences.
Sarina graduated summa cum laude from Emerson College with a degree in Journalism and Political Communication. She proudly hails from Pittsfield, in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, and currently lives in Somerville.
