Sarina Tracy is a Vice President at Northwind Strategies. She is responsible for conceptualizing, managing and executing strategic communications and public relations for political, business and non-profit clients.
Sarina’s work has helped clients move the needle on publicity, thought leadership, ballot initiatives, legislative goals, crisis communications and campaigns of all kinds. As a hands-on political strategist, Sarina also manages media and digital communications for politicians and public figures, and has led press for U.S. Senate and House campaigns across Massachusetts.
She writes for a wide range of clients, landing placements like major opinion pieces in USA Today, op-eds in large regional dailies, articles in statewide civic publications and editorials in local newspapers across the country.
Prior to joining Northwind, Sarina was the communications director for Senate President Pro Tempore Marc R. Pacheco in the Massachusetts State Senate, where she focused on clean energy, women’s health access and international partnerships.
Her Beacon Hill acumen and relationships with legislators, staffers, departments and agencies continue to inform her work, while her media skills drive contact between clients and their audiences.
During her time in the State House, she also led communications for the Senate Committee on Global Warming and Climate Change and its legislative initiatives. Her media contacts are vast and varied, with lasting connections that can be drawn upon for various subjects.
Sarina began her career in the publishing industry, where she worked on publications with a reach of 200,000 readers and 1.7 million annual website visits. She is comfortable with writing on any scale.
Sarina graduated summa cum laude from Emerson College with a degree in Journalism and Political Communication. She proudly hails from Pittsfield, in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts, and currently lives in Somerville.
